At the Hartstochtfestival of Het Zuidelijk Toneel Nhelden will also create the public dans performance PASSIE (passion)

The festival is in 6 cities and the theme is passion and old people. For us and certainly as a part of the Bejaarden&Begeerte project, the dialogue between old and young is very important. And because nobody of the young people these days dances in pairs anymore we decided to make a performance where old and young would dance a foxtrot.

We wanted our performance to unite the six cities of Hartstocht so we came up with the idea of writing a letter with dancing people in each city creating the word PASSIE (passion).

So in each city of the festival, there will be a local band playing a foxtrot on one of the main squares. All the people will be put in pairs to dance within the outlines of a letter. At a certain point all the dancers will open their given red umbrellas and the small airplane that flies above the square will film the whole event.

From 13 may till 18 June Oscar Kocken, different singers of 70+ and myself will perform the show Bejaarden&Begeerte (old people and passion) in six different cities in the south of the Netherlands. Our show is part of the Hartstochtfestival of Het Zuidelijk Toneel (www.hzt.nl)

In Bejaarden&Begeerte Oscar and I talk about love, sex and longing at the age of 65+ we wrote our own texts based on many conversations we had with old people in Tilburg last year October and November.

If you want to come, you are more than welcome but be aware that to get in you have to be 65+ or accompanied by a 65+. If you don’t have, find or know a 65+ to bring along you can come earlier and we will hook you up before the show starts.
